Andrew Mercer

Meet Andrew Mercer, CEO and Founder:

An entrepreneur and chartered accountant with more than 30 years’ experience of creating and leading successful businesses, Andrew heads Portacell and has overall responsibility for our direction and growth.

This is not his first power venture with members of the current Portacell team. As former CEO of the companies 2OC and Carbon-12, he worked alongside other directors to deliver substantial projects in London, including a £100m combined heat and power plant and a data centre powered by energy from waste.

He previously built software company One Meaning, which was sold to Oracle, and subsequently founded Tensense, which he recently exited. All companies that he exited while being CEO made positive returns for their shareholders.
